Venture Partner, Aurora Forge Venture Fund I LP

Joel is a Venture Partner at the Aurora Forge. Joel was one of the five original members at the foundation of Olive, a healthcare automation company with over 200 health system customers, and was once valued at $4b. Joel has a passion for building companies from the ground up and, most recently, was a General Partner at Olive Ventures.

At Olive, he built and scaled the partnerships, marketing, operations, and project management divisions. He also served as the CEO’s Chief of Staff, helping align multiple divisions during periods of growth and fundraising activities, including a $32m series D round led by Oak HC/FT and Ascension Ventures. As founder of Chakra Industries, Joel also works with technology entrepreneurs across many industries, helping them build operational efficiencies, understand GTM strategies, recruit top talent, and how to foster the right investor relationships. Joel serves as Board Director for several venture-backed technology startups, including Magenta Care Continuum, Seam Technologies, and Healia Health. Joel serves on the Board of Directors for 127 Haven, a non-profit that is building families instead of orphanages for the marginalized children of Uganda.

Previously, Joel worked as an independent consultant helping technology and design companies in Washington, D.C., and helped build and scale Eclyptix web development as well as other technology startups in Los Angeles, CA. Joel received his Bachelor of Science in Business from Liberty University and resides in Raleigh, NC, with his wife and three children.
