Tanya Townsend is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for LCMC Health and its six-hospital system based in New Orleans, LA. She is a Certified Healthcare CIO and an established executive who has been working in the healthcare industry for over 20 years.

Tanya is committed to staying abreast of best practices across the IT industry. Passionate about the topic of information technology, Tanya has spoken at national events in the industry as well as received numerous acknowledgements and awards for her work. She currently sits on several technology advisory boards and is currently the Chair Elect of CHIME.

Tanya received a Master of Science degree in Medical Informatics from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and the Medical College of Wisconsin. She was recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the Female IT Leaders to Know three years in a row 2018 – 2020, and one of the top hospital and health system CIOs to know in 2020.
